Creswick Neighbourhood Centre
Creswick Neighbourhood Centre is your local neighbourhood house!
Join us for a range of activities including events, courses, fun workshops, groups, and more. Creswick Neighbourhood Centre is a friendly place where everyone is welcome.
We are a neighbourhood house originally started by the Creswick community in the early 1980s. We are an incorporated, registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to community development and opportunities for our community.
Governed by a volunteer Board of Management, we are funded in part by The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and self-funded through a range of social enterprise initiatives.
You can get involved by participating in a class offered here at the centre, or you could teach a class, or you can Volunteer. Reach out to us to find out more.
We are located in the historical buildings at 19-21 Victoria Street in Creswick and our precinct includes The Hall, House, Community Garden, Growling Grass Frog Wetland, and welcoming shared spaces to enjoy, including under the old oak tree – our favourite place during summer.
Our spaces are sometimes available for hire, although they are most often used for our activities and as a home to many local groups.
Our popular Creswick Market runs on the third Saturday of every month, from 9am to 1pm. See link on the home page of our website (https://creswicknc.org/creswick-market).
We’d love to hear from you – whether it’s about activities you’d like to participate in that aren’t currently running, or ways you think we can better support our community. We say feedback is golden, so let us know even if your experience isn’t ideal – so you can help us grow and improve.
And we love meeting new residents, so drop in and say hi. There are no stupid questions, so if you have a burning question about our area, we’ll have a go at helping you out – and if we can’t, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
Stay in touch.
