CRESFEST: MADE FOR MUSOS BY MUSOS

CresFest returns on 2–4 April 2027. Weekend tickets and day tickets, plus accommodation options, will go on sale in October 2026.

CresFest is about the joy of live music – playing it, hearing it, watching it, dancing to it, learning it, being inspired by it – and it all happens in one small Victorian town, as we bring that ‘Stars Hollow’ warmth to Creswick (just 15 minutes from Ballarat).

Join us in April 2027 for our sixth CresFest and enjoy three days of dance and music in the beautiful heritage town of Creswick. A huge range of performers, from international stars to local newcomers, will entertain you over the weekend of Friday, 2 April through to Sunday, 4 April. Wander from venue to venue, all within easy walking distance of our National Trust listed Town Hall.

With more on offer than concerts, you’ll have the chance to participate through a jam-packed program of workshops, including singing, dancing and playing. There’s something on offer for everyone - with budding performers encouraged to enter our IGA Busking Competition (competing for great prizes), or sign up for open mic spots.

Local musicians are invited to learn from and perform with our visiting professionals, in a true two-way collaboration that develops new skills and ignites a renewed enthusiasm. Our festival is building a huge reputation, punching well above its weight, and after only a few years was announced Best Community Cultural Project of 2023 at the Australian Folk Music Awards.
