Each audition will take approximately 10-12 minutes - and are individual auditions, not group ones.

What your audition will look like:

  • individual auditions (not group ones)
  • only one audition slot needed (as there will not be a separate coreography audition)
  • we will do a cold read of some Pirates' dialogue with you
  • we will ask you to sing a song of your choice (see below for further information on song choice)
  • please bring backing music on your personal device (noting that we have a speaker if you need one)

Song choice information

Guidance for song choice:

  • pick something that suits your voice / range and is akin to the sort of songs in the show
  • it doesn't have to be a song from the show (or even a Gilbert and Sullivan number)
  • but it should be a song which you feel will highlight your ability to sing in a Gilbert and Sullivan prouction
  • please bring backing music on your personal device (noting that we have a speaker if you need one)
  • we would prefer that you don't sing A Capella
