CresFest

CresFest returns 10–12 April, 2026. Weekend tickets and day tickets, plus accommodation options, will go on sale in October 2025.

CresFest is about the joy of live music – playing it, hearing it, watching it, dancing to it, learning it, being inspired by it – it all happens in one small Victorian town, as we bring that ‘Star’s Hollow’ warmth to Creswick, just 15 minutes from Ballarat.

With our fifth CresFest in April 2026, you will again enjoy three days of dance and music in the beautiful heritage town of Creswick. A huge range of performers, from international stars to local newcomers, will entertain you over the weekend of Friday, 10 April – Sunday, 12 April. Wander from venue to venue, all within easy walking distance of our lovely old Town Hall.

More than concerts, you’ll have the chance to participate through a densely packed program of workshops, including singing, dancing and playing. There’s something for everyone, and budding performers can enter our IGA Busking Competition for great prizes or sign up for open mic spots.

Local players are invited to learn from and perform with our visiting professionals, in a true two-way collaboration that brings new skills and renewed enthusiasm to our musicians. Our festival is building a huge reputation, punching well above its weight, and after only three years was announced Best Community Cultural Project of 2023 at the Australian Folk Music Awards.
